Thomas Haytmanek, an orthopaedic surgeon and foot and ankle specialist, has joined the surgical staff at The Steadman Clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Haytmanek earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in chemistry and a minor in physics from Wake Forest University in 2004. He completed his Medical Degree nearer to his hometown of Bethlehem, PA, at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 2008 and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Duke University in 2013. &nbsp;Following his residency, Dr. Haytmanek completed his Fellowship with Thomas O. Clanton, MD at The Steadman Clinic in Vail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his residency Dr. Haytmanek received several awards. &nbsp;He received the Duke Orthopaedic Annual Award for Excellence for his Orthopaedic Research Presentation in June 2013. He was named a Feagin Leadership Program Scholar as part of the Duke Sports Medicine team in 2012-2013. He traveled to New Delhi, India, as a Parekh Traveling Scholar in 2012, and he received the Ralph Coonrad Mission Traveling Endowment Award in 2012. He was selected a Resident Scholar for the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Annual Meeting in 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His completed research projects have been published in The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, Foot and Ankle International, American Journal of Sports Medicine, and Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Haytmanek belongs to multiple academic organizations including the Piedmont Society, The American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and serves on the board of the North Pacific Orthopaedic Society.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to moving to Vail, Dr. Haytmanek practiced in Boise, Idaho at The Coughlin Clinic at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center with Michael Coughlin, MD and Christopher Hirose, MD.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Haytmanek&#8217;s clinical interests include fracture fixation, ankle arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, and sports related injuries of the foot and ankle. &nbsp;His ongoing research projects include hindfoot fusion nails, total ankle arthroplasty, and cartilage repair.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Haytmanek serves as a member of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard medical team.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Haytmanek is seeing new patients in Frisco and Vail, Colorado.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":325,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true},"tags":[],"staff-specialties":[51],"class_list":["post-324","staff","type-staff","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","staff-specialties-orthopaedics"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Craig Thomas Haytmanek - Vail Valley Surgery Center<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vailhealth.org\/about\/doctor-directory\/craig-thomas-haytmanek\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"es_MX\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Craig Thomas Haytmanek - Vail Valley Surgery Center\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Dr. C.
