Our 7+ bed LDRP unit provides care for a healthy population of mothers and newborns. However, our skilled team also expertly manages high-risk conditions such as preterm births and preeclampsia. We\u2019re proud to offer a single-suite OR designed for family-centered cesarean sections and a 6-bed Level II nursery that cares for babies 32+ weeks gestation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our nurses are NRP certified and trained in STABLE, ensuring we\u2019re fully prepared to stabilize and transport infants when needed. With high autonomy in practice, our team is supported 24\/7 by an on-call NNP and OB provider, ensuring the best care for our patients. This is your chance to join a team where your skills and passion make a difference every day!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>About the opportunity:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>This position is responsible for caring for <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"antepartum\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"l1v6yd6jzjkxxy3xa\">antepartum<\/span> patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum, providing family centered care including the well newborn and the Level 2 Nursery. Assure expert, compassion, individualize nursing care for patients and families expected. They collaborate with providers, staff and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>What you will do:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety and satisfaction.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to triage incoming patient requests for services.<\/li>\n<li>Delivers patient education to facilitate plan of care, employer informed healthcare choices, and promote optimal wellness.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statue.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates competent healthcare assessment skills, prioritizing skills and critical thinking skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medications, information and assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures as needed; consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates patient care with other physician practices, Vail Health and others as needed to achieve the highest possible level of patient care and satisfaction.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Delivers excellent service by utilizing Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients and families.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.
