Learn more about Vail Health <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vailhealth.org\/about\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) \u2013 PRN<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>About the Opportunity<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Vail Health is seeking a <strong>Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)<\/strong>\u2014either an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist\u2014to support patients with upper extremity conditions through specialized, medically prescribed hand therapy. This role is responsible for delivering high\u2011quality clinical care and coordinating all aspects of the hand therapy program.<\/p>\n<p>This is a <strong>PRN (as\u2011needed)<\/strong> position and is <strong>eligible for a 16% PRN differential<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What You Will Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluate, plan, and provide treatment for patients with upper extremity injuries or conditions to help them regain function or adapt to limitations.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver patient\u2011centered care by interpreting evaluations and test results, and coordinating treatment plans with physicians, physician assistants, and athletic trainers.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor patient progress, recommend adjustments to therapy plans, and document evaluations, goals, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with facility standards.<\/li>\n<li>Support patients returning to work by collaborating with physicians, employers, and case managers; identifying potential challenges; and recommending job site accommodations.<\/li>\n<li>Fabricate custom thermoplastic orthoses and educate patients on proper wear, use, and care.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing for all patient encounters.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in developing hand therapy protocols, participate in continuing education, and contribute to in\u2011service training for clinical staff.<\/li>\n<li>Support student program development and provide training to students.<\/li>\n<li>Manage hand therapy inventory and order necessary supplies for the clinic.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as certification requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain HIPAA compliance and perform additional duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>This job description reflects the general nature and level of responsibilities and is not an exhaustive list of all duties or working conditions.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What You Will Need<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum <strong>5 years of experience<\/strong> and <strong>4,000 hours of practice<\/strong> in Hand Therapy required.<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Colorado<br \/><strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Colorado or valid Compact Privilege<br \/><strong>AND<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Computer \/ Typing Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess, or obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning modules, access policies and forms, and complete benefits enrollment.<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No additional education requirements listed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>PRN (POOL) benefits include: Wellbeing reimbursement funds and 403(b) contribution eligibility.\u00a0<\/h3>\n<div class=\"content-pay-transparency\">\n<div class=\"pay-input\">\n<div class=\"description\">\n<p><strong>Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"title\">Hourly Pay:<\/div>\n<div class=\"pay-range\"><span>$45.95<\/span><span class=\"divider\">\u2014<\/span><span>$63.41 USD<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"job_location":[27],"job_category":[28],"job_shift":[9],"job_company":[29],"job_schedule":[26],"class_list":["post-194","career","type-career","status-publish","hentry","job_location-basalt-co","job_category-rehabilitative-therapy","job_shift-days","job_company-howard-head-sports-medicine","job_schedule-prn"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Certified Hand Therapist- PRN - Vail Valley Surgery Center<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vailvalleysurgerycenter.com\/es\/careers\/certified-hand-therapist-prn\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"es_MX\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Certified Hand Therapist- PRN - Vail Valley Surgery Center\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Vail Health has become the world\u2019s most advanced mountain healthcare system.
